Insights from Primary Care Phased Investment Programme: Building on primary care improvement

The purpose of the national primary care improvement event was to bring together teams from across Scotland and provide an opportunity to:   

• share key lessons from the Primary Care Phased Investment Programme
• discuss how PCPIP learning can be used more widely in primary care
• consider priorities and next steps for improving primary care

The day offered a range of plenary speakers, including an opportunity to hear about the evaluation and learning from the demonstrator sites.

Breakout sessions were led by our national clinical leads aligned to:

• general practice
• community treatment and care (CTAC)
• pharmacotherapy

Each attendee had an opportunity to attend two of the three breakout sessions. Participants had opportunities to network and learn from each other as well.
