Summary
We developed the Adults in Hospital change packages with the healthcare system in mind. They are informed by evidence, clinical and improvement knowledge and the expertise of people working across the system. This change package supports the implementation of the primary and secondary drivers for the deteriorating patient programme.
The deteriorating patient change package helps teams to:
- deliver evidence-based care and the essentials of safe care
- recognise and respond to deterioration early
- develop patient-focused review and reassessment, and
- improve outcomes through early intervention and timely treatment.
