Conditions of registration
- The service will operate as an independent hospital providing specialist assessment and treatment services to service users with epilepsy, epilepsy associated conditions and sleep disorders.
- No one under the age of 16 years to be seen or treated on the premises. However, named service users between 14 years – 16 years may be seen or treated on an individual basis after prior agreement with Healthcare Improvement Scotland and other relevant healthcare services.
- To provide a maximum of 12 in-patient places.
- To provide a maximum of 10 day care places.
- A registered medical practitioner to be on call over 24 hours.
- To provide 24 hour nursing care.
- The service shall ensure that staff possessing the appropriate skills, training and experience are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of all service users.
