Conditions of registration

1. The provider will operate an independent hospital.

2. The service will operate 24hrs Monday to Sunday.

3. The provider must only allow medical and surgical assessment and treatment in an in-patient environment.

4. The provider must not allow more than 5 in-patient places and 4 day-case places.

5. The provider must not allow more than 20 surgical procedures per day.

6. The provider must not allow any laser or intense pulsed light treatments or procedures to be carried out.

7. The provider must not allow the provision of dental treatments including dental hygiene treatments, dental implants, tooth whitening and orthodontics.

8. The provider must not allow any ionising radiation exposures to be carried out.

9. The provider must not allow the prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal products.

10. The provider must only treat service users aged 18 or over.

11. The provider must not allow children under the age of 18 to be present during any consultations, treatments or procedures unless they are the service user.

12. The provider must ensure that staff possess the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience and that they are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of patients, the public and wider workforce.

13. The provider must ensure that staff requiring to be registered by a professional regulating body are actively registered.

14. The provider must ensure a registered medical officer is present in the service at all times.

15. The provider must only treat patients individually, group treatments are not permitted.

16. The provider must not allow service users to consume alcohol while in receipt of health care.

17. The provider must not allow animals or pets in the area where the treatments are provided, except for service animals.

  3. To provide a maximum of 21 in-patient places.
  4. To provide out-patient services.
  5. A registered medical officer to be on call over 24 hours.
  6. To provide 24 hour nursing care.

Conditions of registration

  1. The service will operate as an independent hospital providing a range of medical and non-surgical treatments, minor surgical procedures and major surgical procedures.
  2. No one under the age of 18 years to be seen or treated on the premises (as an in-patient).
  3. The service shall ensure that staff possessing the appropriate skills, training and experience are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of all service users.
  4. To operate an Independent Hospital between the hours of 7:30am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
  5. To provide out-patient clinics.
  6. No laser treatments or procedures will be carried out.
  7. No Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments or procedures will be carried out.
  8. To provide a maximum of 50 surgical procedures a day
  9. To provide a maximum of four day care places
  10. A consultant anaesthetist must be present if any treatment or procedure involves the administration of general anaesthesia or sedation.
  11. All healthcare professionals working in the service must have a licence to practice in the UK.
  12. Children under the age of 18 must not be present during any consultations, treatments or procedures.
