Conditions of registration

1. The provider will operate an independent hospital. 

2. The service will operate 24hrs Monday to Sunday.  

3. The provider must only allow medical and surgical assessment and treatment in an in-patient environment. 

4. The provider must not allow more than 21 in-patient places. 

5. The provider must not allow more than 40 surgical procedures per day.  

6. The provider must not allow the prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal products.  

7. The provider must only treat service users aged 16 or over.  

8. The provider must not allow facial or body aesthetic treatments to be provided to children under the age of 18.  

9. The provider must not allow any procedures to be carried out using any form of general or local anaesthesia or sedation to service users under the age of 16. 

10. The provider must ensure that patients under the age of 16 are not treated as day case patients.   

11. The provider must only consult and examine patients between the ages of 3 – 15 years on an out-patient basis.  

12. The provider must ensure that staff possess the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience and that they are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of patients, the public and wider workforce.  

13. The provider must ensure that staff requiring to be registered by a professional regulating body are actively registered. 

14. The provider must ensure a registered medical officer is present in the service at all times. 

15. The provider must only treat patients individually, group treatments are not permitted.   

16. The provider must not allow service users to consume alcohol while in receipt of health care. 

17. The provider must not allow animals or pets in the area where the treatments are provided, except for service animals.
