Scottish Patient Safety Programme Adults in hospital

We work to support NHS Scotland boards to:

  • reduce harm for people in hospital
  • enhance the care experience and outcomes for people in hospital

NHS boards identified the following priorities for this programme as:

  • reducing falls and falls with harm
  • improving the care of patients who experience a physiological deterioration during their hospital stay
  • improving the safety of medicines in hospital
