Conditions of registration

  1. The service will operate as a private psychiatric hospital which will comply with current mental health legislation.
  2. To provide a specialist assessment and rehabilitation service for service users with acquired brain injury.
  3. No one under the age of 18 years to be seen or treated on the premises. However, service users between 16 years – 18 years may be seen or treated on an individual basis after prior agreement with Healthcare Improvement Scotland and other relevant healthcare services.
  4. To provide a maximum of 29 in-patient places.
  5. To provide out-patient clinics.
  6. A registered medical practitioner supported by a consultant psychiatrist to be on call over 24 hours.
  7. To provide 24 hour nursing care.
  8. The service shall ensure that staff possessing the appropriate skills, training and experience are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of all service users.
