Conditions of registration

  1. To operate an independent clinic between the hours of 07:00 – 21:00 Monday – Sunday.
  2. The service will only treat service users aged 18 or over.
  3. The service will provide non-surgical treatments.
  4. The service shall ensure that staff possessing the appropriate skills, training and experience are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of all service users.
  5. Service users must be treated individually. Group treatments are not permitted.
  6. The provider must not allow service users to consume alcohol while in receipt of health care.
  7. No animals or pets in the area where the service is provided, with the exception of service animals.
  8. No laser treatments or procedures will be carried out.
  9. No Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments or procedures will be carried out.
  10. Children under the age of 18 must not be present during any consultations, treatments or procedures.

Conditions of registration

  1. The service will operate as an independent hospital providing specialist assessment and treatment services to service users with epilepsy, epilepsy associated conditions and sleep disorders.
  2. No one under the age of 16 years to be seen or treated on the premises. However, named service users between 14 years – 16 years may be seen or treated on an individual basis after prior agreement with Healthcare Improvement Scotland and other relevant healthcare services.
  3. To provide a maximum of 12 in-patient places.
  4. To provide a maximum of 10 day care places.
  5. A registered medical practitioner to be on call over 24 hours.
  6. To provide 24 hour nursing care.
  7. The service shall ensure that staff possessing the appropriate skills, training and experience are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of all service users.

  1. The service must only operate between the hours of 0700 and 2100 Monday to Sunday, except for the provision of emergency care. 
  1. The provider must only allow non-surgical treatments, namely [facial and body aesthetic treatments] and [wellness injections and IV therapy treatments] 
  1. The provider must not allow any laser or intense pulsed light treatments or procedures to be carried out. 
  1. The provider must not allow the provision of dental treatments (including dental hygiene treatments, dental implants, tooth whitening and orthodontics). 
  1. The provider must not allow any ionising radiation exposures to be carried out. 
  1. The provider must not allow the prescribing of controlled drugs. 
  1. The provider must not allow the prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal Products. 
  1. The provider must not allow any treatments or procedures to be carried out using any form of sedation or general anaesthesia. 
  1. The provider must only treat service users aged 18 or over.

  1. The provider must ensure that staff possess the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience and that they are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of patients, the public and wider workforce.
