Summary
Our Primary Care Phased Investment Programme (PCPIP) is examining the impact of multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) in primary care. MDTs were introduced by the 2018 General Medical Services (GMS) contract. The goal was to reduce GP workload. The evaluation focuses on the impact on:
- workload
- quality of care
Additionally, we are examining the impact of enhanced quality improvement support within the PCPIP. We are looking at the following services:
- Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) services
- Pharmacotherapy (PT)
This plan provides an overview of the planned evaluation approach to date. It includes qualitative, quantitative, and health economic data.
