On Tuesday 25 November the Engagement Practice – Evidence team hosted a webinar on patients’ powerful contribution to the delivery of high-quality, value-driven healthcare in general practice. When meaningfully involved, they help shape decisions, influence service design and strengthen the vital connection between practices and the communities they serve.

In this session, our colleagues from Barns Medical Practice took us  through the journey of their patient participation group. How it first came together, how it has evolved over the past decade, and the real impact it continues to have. From successes to challenges, they shared how giving patients a voice has helped improve services, inform decision-making, and bring added value to everything they do.

Whether you’re just starting out, or looking to invigorate your own group, their experience offers practical insights and inspiration, and a renewed sense of what’s possible when the patients are at the heart of their care.
