This webinar was part of the Primary Care Phased Investment Programme (PCPIP). The webinar is led by Dr Paul Baughan, National GP Clinical Lead and is joined by guest speakers including Prof. Stewart Mercer, Professor of Primary Care at The University of Edinburgh. They discuss multi-disciplinary team (MDT) working in primary care, why it matters, what we know, and how to make it more effective.

Topics include:

  • what we know so far about multidisciplinary team working in primary care, including current research evidence
  • insights into what the PCPIP demonstrator sites are experiencing, and 
  • ideas about what proactive steps practices and other primary care teams can take to improve MDT working for the benefit of both staff and patient experience.
