To support the implementation of MAT Standard 8, Healthcare Improvement Scotland have worked in collaboration with the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance (SIAA) to develop resources that embed independent advocacy in Health and Social Care Partnership strategic structures, support recovery, and improve health outcomes for people who require access to alcohol and drug services.
These resources are underpinned by the Charter of Rights for People Affected by Substance Use in Scotland.
