Summary
This change package is for perinatal teams participating in maternal deterioration improvement work.
The change package helps teams to reduce harm from deterioration in acute hospitals. It improves the care of a deteriorating woman / birthing person. This includes the recognition, response and review of maternal deterioration.
This change package was co-designed with multi-disciplinary clinical and quality improvement experts from NHS boards.
It should be used with:
• Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
• SPSP Perinatal Programme Scottish Maternity Early Warning Score (MEWS) resources – currently not available
