We help tackle urgent or high-priority issues in Scotland’s mental health system. These priorities are identified by us, the Scottish Government and key partners.
Our key partners are
- the Mental Welfare Commission
- NHS Boards
We work with NHS Boards and Health & Social Care Partnerships. This work improves mental health inpatient services. It makes sure people are not kept in hospital any longer than necessary. This includes people with:
- mental health needs
- learning disabilities
- adults with incapacity
We also coordinate The Coming Home Peer Support Network. The network brings together professionals across Scotland. Together we plan and deliver services for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The network helps them share ideas, learn from each other, and get practical support.
