Summary
To support the expansion of the pharmacotherapy service in south-east Edinburgh, the team introduced pharmacy support workers (PSW), a new role within NHS Lothian. The role was developed to ensure pharmacotherapy tasks were delivered by the most appropriate professional.
Impact:
- This has allowed the team to ensure the right person is doing the right task
- The PSWs have valued how the role has developed their pharmacy skills
