PEWS is a system used to help identify sick and/or deteriorating patients. This teaching package gives you step by step instructions on using a PEWS chart.

The NHS Scotland PEWS tables are available in this document. The PEWS tables set out normal and abnormal ranges as per national PEWS and can be used as a reference.The PEWS tables are not validated for use in primary care.
