Conditions of registration

1. The provider will operate an independent psychiatric hospital 
2. The service will operate 24hrs Monday to Sunday.
3. The provider must only allow   mental health care for the treatment of general psychiatry, addictions and eating disorders and a specialist assessment and rehabilitation service for up to five service users with brain injury and/or learning disability and/or complex care requirements with additional mental health needs  
4. The provider must not allow more than 42 in-patient places 40 day-case places.
5. The provider must not allow the provision of dental treatments including dental hygiene treatments, dental implants, tooth whitening and orthodontics.
6. The provider must not allow any ionising radiation exposures to be carried out.
7. The provider must not allow the prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal products.
8. The provider will treat service users aged 16 or over.  
9. The service can provide out- patient clinics.
10. The provider must only consult and examine patients aged 5 and over on an out-patient basis.
11. The provider must ensure that staff possess the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience and that they are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of patients, the public and wider workforce.
12. The provider must ensure that staff requiring to be registered by a professional regulating body are actively registered.  
13. The provider must ensure a registered medical officer supported by an on-call consultant psychiatrist is present in the service at all times.
14. The provider must not allow service users to consume alcohol while in receipt of health care.
