Conditions of registration

1. The provider will operate an independent hospital.
2. The service will operate between the hours of 0700 and 2300 Monday to Sunday except for the provision of emergency care.
3. The provider must only allow medical and surgical assessment and treatment in a day hospital environment.
4. The provider must not allow more than 5 day-case places.
5. The provider must not allow more than 30 surgical procedures per day.
6. The provider must not allow in-patient care.
7. The provider must not allow the provision of dental treatments (including dental hygiene treatments, dental implants, tooth whitening and orthodontics).
8. The provider must not allow any ionising radiation exposures to be carried out.
9. The provider must not allow the prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal products.
10. The provider will treat service users aged 16 or over.
11. The provider must not allow aesthetic or cosmetic treatments or procedures to be provided to children under the age of 18.
12. The provider must ensure that staff possess the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience and that they are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of patients, the public and wider workforce.
13. The provider must ensure that staff requiring to be registered by a professional regulating body are actively registered
14. The provider must ensure a registered medical officer is present in the service when patients are in theatre and in recovery until patients are assessed as fit to be discharged.
15. The provider must only treat patients individually, group treatments are not permitted.
16. The provider must not allow service users to consume alcohol while in receipt of health care.
17. The provider must not allow animals or pets in the area where the treatments are provided, except for service animals.
