Summary

Healthcare Improvement Scotland is developing standards for urgent and unscheduled care. The standards will support NHS boards to identify gaps and areas for improvement in urgent and unscheduled care.

The overall aim is to develop clear, evidence-based national standards for the safe, effective and person-centred delivery of care across the urgent and unscheduled care pathway.

We have developed a draft scope for the urgent and unscheduled care standards. This draft scope is now out for consultation until 30 July. You can take part in this consultation by filling in our online survey.

If you have any questions about the scope or the standards development process, please contact the project team at his.standardsandindicators@nhs.scot.
