Summary
We undertook a joint unannounced visit/inspection to Skye House in August 2025.
Two different methodologies were employed and are described in Appendix A.
During our safe delivery of care inspection, we:
- inspected the unit environment
- observed staff practice and interactions with patients
- spoke with young people, relatives/visitors and ward staff, and
- accessed patients’ health records, monitoring reports, policies and procedures
Our findings
This inspection resulted in 11 areas of good practice, nine areas for improvements and 16 requirements.
