Project Surgery session

Topic – turning new practice, into business as usual exploring South Ayrshire’s challenge of turning new practice on Essentials of Safe Care into widespread business as usual

Join us on Tuesday 14 July 2026 for our first project surgery session.

Project surgeries are a supportive space for learning community members to come together and explore real challenges involved in making change happen in health and social care. They offer a practical opportunity to learn from others, share experience and consider possible next steps.

What to expect in the project surgery sessions

Spaces are limited for this session, and you will need to register quickly for to secure your place!

For this first session, we are going to have just one topic, with multiple breakout rooms exploring the challenge laying ahead for South Ayrshire.

About the topic – South Ayrshire is trying to embed the Essentials of Safe Care consistently across the HSCP. Their challenge is how to turn small pockets of its use into widespread application across the organisation. See the summary for more information on the topic.

This challenge is about safety, but is a challenge felt often when trying to embed any change.

Come along, hear South Ayrshire’s challenge, then head into break out rooms to explore ways they could progress their change work.
