On Thursday 8 December, our Mental Health and Substance Use team hosted an online clinical network webinar. This webinar focused on our response to people who are in crisis and challenges in providing support when substances are on board.
We heard from the Mental Health Paramedic Response Unit (MHPRU). They focus on giving the best possible care to people in mental health distress. This service signposts and utilises available pathways in each area to divert from A&E and provide the most appropriate care for each individual.
