Summary
We undertook a joint unannounced visit/inspection to Dudhope Young People’s Inpatient Unit from 20 October to 22 October 2025.
Two different methodologies were employed and are described in appendix 1 of the document.
During our safe delivery of care inspection, we:
- inspected the unit environment
- observed staff practice and interactions with patients
- accessed patients’ health records, monitoring reports, policies and procedures
Our findings
This inspection resulted in 12 areas of good practice, five areas for improvement and six requirements.
