Gathering views on palliative care

The Scottish Government is developing a new Palliative Care Strategy for Scotland, to be published in 2024. We were commissioned to support the ongoing development and implementation of the strategy by gathering views from people in Scotland with experiences of palliative care or caring for someone who has received palliative care

Thirteenth Citizens’ Panel Report

The thirteenth Citizens’ Panel survey was carried out between November 2023 and February 2024.

The survey asked questions on two topics:

How people prefer to access health and care services and the NHS Scotland Climate Emergency and Sustainability Strategy.

Gathering views on the draft National Care Service charter of rights and responsibilities

The Scottish Government asked us to undertake a Gathering Views exercise to find out about people’s views on a draft of the Charter of Rights and Responsibilities for the new National Care Service (NCS).

As a result we made 6 recommendations to the Scottish Government.

Twelfth Citizens’ Panel report

The twelfth Citizens’ Panel survey was carried out between June 2023 and September 2023.
The survey asked questions on two topics:
organ and tissue donation
the regulation of independent healthcare
Based on our findings we made 7 recommendations to the Scottish government regarding organ and tissue donation and a further 5 recommendations to HIS, Scottish Government and delivery partners regarding the regulation of independent healthcare.
