Fourteenth Citizens’ Panel report

The fourteenth Citizens’ Panel survey was carried out between June and September 2024.

The survey asked questions on two topics:

Realistic Medicine and Value Based Health and Care
NHS Reform
A total of 545 responses (50% response rate) were received, either by post, email or by telephone.

A report on Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership’s consultation on the future of cottage hospitals

This report provides our assessment on whether the engagement and consultation process undertaken by Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) on the future of 4 cottage hospitals has met the requirements and expectations set out in national guidance.

Gathering Views on implanted medical devices

The Scottish Government’s Medical Devices and Legislation Unit asked us to find out about patients’ experiences of receiving an implanted medical device, sometimes known as an implant.

Based on our findings we made 6 recommendations to the Scottish Government.

Gathering views on palliative care

The Scottish Government is developing a new Palliative Care Strategy for Scotland, to be published in 2024. We were commissioned to support the ongoing development and implementation of the strategy by gathering views from people in Scotland with experiences of palliative care or caring for someone who has received palliative care

Thirteenth Citizens’ Panel Report

The thirteenth Citizens’ Panel survey was carried out between November 2023 and February 2024.

The survey asked questions on two topics:

How people prefer to access health and care services and the NHS Scotland Climate Emergency and Sustainability Strategy.

Gathering views on the draft National Care Service charter of rights and responsibilities

The Scottish Government asked us to undertake a Gathering Views exercise to find out about people’s views on a draft of the Charter of Rights and Responsibilities for the new National Care Service (NCS).

As a result we made 6 recommendations to the Scottish Government.
