How we support professionals in a review of sudden unexpected deaths in infancy.
What we do
We help professionals involved in SUDI by:
- communicating information to ensure a SUDI review is undertaken
- providing guidance and offering support with the SUDI process
- providing information to help support family members close to the deceased infant
- collecting and analysing national data to identify trends and risk factors.
General Practitioner (GP) notification
A member of our team will contact the relevant GP to tell them of the SUDI process and offer support.
We help GPs by signposting them to relevant SUDI guidance and documents.
Collecting national data
We review and analyse SUDI data to identify trends and any potential contributing factors.
