Excellence in Care (EiC) is a national programme. It supports health boards, services, and teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred care.
The programme brings together assurance and improvement. It does this by:
- helping services understand what good care looks like
- assessing how they are doing
- taking action where needed
EiC also aims to enable and empower clinical teams and leaders to create the conditions for excellence. It supports a culture where people feel confident in their own areas to:
- use their judgement
- learn
- lead improvement
The Excellence in Care resources support a wide range of professions and healthcare settings.
