Improving access to integrated care (IAIC) programmes

Improving Access to Integrated Care is a national improvement programme. It helps to improve waiting times. We work with health and social care teams across hospital and community settings.

We aim to improve access to, and experience of, health and social care. We do this by supporting services to understand and improve flow throughout their systems. We:

  • apply DCAQ analysis to identify bottlenecks and constraints to system flow
  • use PDSA cycles to test changes in a systematic way and achieve sustained improvements
  • use data to demonstrate impact

Email us at his.improvingaccess@nhs.scot if you would like to speak to a member of the team.
