Annual review 2025: key statistics – December 2025
We presented the following statistics at our Annual review on 15 December 2025.
Statistics
- We published 94 pieces of medicines advice.
- Our employee sickness absences fell by 3.3%.
- Our employee Engagement Index score was up three points.
- 561 independent healthcare services were now registered with us, an increase of 1700% over the past decade.
- We inspected 96 independent healthcare services.
- Our Hospital at home programme helped avoid costs of £55 million.
- 1107 people are members of our Citizens Panel, representing all of Scotland.
- The Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network (SIGN) guidelines have been accessed 107, 287 times.
- Our Scottish Health Technologied Group published 20 pieces of advice.
- Our work contributed to a reduction of average length of stay for patients in acute geriatric care by 17.4%.
- Our work saw a national 9% reduction in the rate of falls in hospitals.
- Five more babies out of 1000 born each month stay with their parents instead of needing care in a neonatal unit.
