Conditions of registration
- The provider will operate an independent hospital.
- The service will operate 24 hours Monday to Sunday.
- The provider must only provide medical and surgical assessment and treatment in an in-patient environment.
- The provider must not allow more than 20 in-patient places until 31 August 2026 and 12 day-case places.
- The provider must not allow more than 70 surgical procedures per day.
- The provider must not allow the provision of dental treatments (including dental hygiene treatments, dental implants, tooth whitening and orthodontics).
- The provider must not allow the prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal products.
- The provider must not prescribe medication for patients introduced by an unregulated third-party organisation whereby the established governance structures prohibit, or indirectly restrict, the service being able to communicate directly, either virtual or in person, with the service user.
- The provider will treat service users aged from three years and above.
- The provider must only consult and examine patients between the ages of 0 – 2 years for frenulotomy on an out-patient basis.
- The provider must not allow facial or body aesthetic treatments to be provided to children under the age of 18.
- The provider must not allow children under the age of 18 to be present during any consultations, treatments or procedures unless they are the service user.
- All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- The provider must ensure that staff possess the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience and that they are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of patients, the public and wider workforce.
- The provider must ensure that staff requiring to be registered by a professional regulating body are actively registered.
- The provider must ensure a registered child health nurse is present in the service when children are being consulted, examined or treated.
- The provider must ensure a registered medical officer is present in the service at all times.
- The provider must only treat patients individually, group treatments are not permitted.
- The provider must not allow service users to consume alcohol while in receipt of health care.
- The provider must not allow animals or pets in the area where the treatments are provided, except for service animals.
