Conditions of registration

1. The provider will operate an independent clinic.

2. The provider will operate an independent hospital.

3. The service must only operate between the hours of 0700 and 23.00 Monday to Saturday, except for the provision of emergency care.

4. The provider must only allow medical and surgical assessment and treatment in a day hospital environment

5. The provider must not allow more than 4 day-case places

6. The provider must not allow more than 40 surgical procedures per day.

7. The provider must not allow in-patient care.

8. The provider must not allow any laser or intense pulsed light treatments or procedures to be carried out.

9. The provider must not allow the provision of dental treatments (including dental hygiene treatments, dental implants, tooth whitening and orthodontics).

10. The provider must not allow any ionising radiation exposures to be carried out.

11. The provider must not allow the prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal products.

12. The provider must only assess or treat service users aged 18 or over.

13. The provider must ensure that staff possessing the appropriate skills, training and experience are provided in sufficient numbers to ensure the safety and welfare of patients.

14. The provider must ensure that all healthcare professionals working in the service have a licence to practice in the United Kingdom.

15. The provider must ensure a registered medical officer is present in the service when patients are in theatre and in recovery until patients are assessed as fit to be discharged.

16. The provider must only treat patients individually, group treatments are not permitted.

17. The provider must not allow service users to consume alcohol while in receipt of health care.

18. The provider must not allow animals or pets in the area where the treatments are provided, except for service animals
