Summary
The National Cancer Medicines Advisory Group (NCMAG) published advice on the use of two medicines for people with advanced kidney cancer. This case study looked at treatments used before and after that advice was published.
The findings show that NCMAG advice helped improve access across Scotland. It also helped the NHS use resources well by supporting the use of a lower-cost treatment option.
