Apply to join our Board
We’re recruiting two Non-Executive Members to join our Board.
This is an opportunity to help improve the quality and safety of health and social care across Scotland.
We are looking for people with experience in:
- working with communities and ensuring their voices are heard in shaping services and delivering change
- human resources, including workforce planning, workforce strategy and organisational change
You do not need NHS experience to apply.
Carole Wilkinson,
Chair, Healthcare Improvement Scotland
We particularly encourage applications from people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities and disabled people.
Members, employees and contractors of NHS boards or independent healthcare organisations are not eligible to apply. This is to prevent conflicts of interest and help maintain public confidence in Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s quality assurance role.
We will be holding an online information session (on MS Teams) on Tuesday, 11 August, 5.00 pm – 6.30 pm. If you would like to attend, please contact Pauline Symaniak at his.boardadmin@nhs.scot
Remuneration and time commitment
Remuneration is £312.00 per day.
The time commitment will vary week to week, but on average, you will need to commit to four days per month. Reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed. The appointments are non-pensionable.
