Summary
Our Annual Delivery Plan (ADP) for 2026-27 explains the work that we will deliver over the year.
The Scottish Government has asked all NHS boards to align their priorities to the Service Renewal Framework and Population Health Framework. Our approach for 2026-27 enables us to support these. It also allows us to deliver our core purpose: to protect and enhance the safety and wellbeing of those that need healthcare.
HIS has a unique position in the health and social care system. This is because of our ability to join up assurance, improvement, engagement and evidence. Together, these achieve a greater impact than they could on their own.
This document reflects planned work at the time of writing, in line with our budget. We are committed to being flexible and responsive to the needs of the system. We may have to pause, stop or reprofile our work throughout the year.
