The programme for 2026-2027 is now open for applications from teams seeking quality improvement and implementation support.
Joining criteria
The programme is open for applications from NHS boards, health and social care partnership teams and general practice. Teams should be willing to apply quality improvement methodology and work towards improving services by committing to one or more of the programme aims.
GP practices and third sector organisations may also join the programme. This must be in collaboration with your local health and social care partnership or NHS board.
Teams must fulfil the following criteria:
- Be able to identify a project team. This should include a project coordinator and clinical/professional lead.
- Have organisational support to participate in the programme. This includes support from the relevant executive sponsor and alignment to strategic organisational priorities.
- Key members of the team must be able to dedicate sufficient time to deliver a quality improvement project over the 12-month duration of the programme. This will include attending a mixture of sessions with our improvement team and time to work on the project within your team.
Teams that have previously participated in the Focus on Frailty programme are welcome to apply to continue their improvement work.
