Summary
NHS Dumfries and Galloway covers a large rural area that is around 110 miles wide. The Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service (SDAS) has 55 staff based across two main hubs.
The service introduced long-acting injectable buprenorphine as a pilot. The aim was to give people more treatment choices and improve access to care.
