On Monday 18 March, our Mental Health and Substance Use team hosted a national launch event. This event focused on the launch of the Mental Health and Substance Use Protocol and was an opportunity for key stakeholders to come together and discuss the use of protocols for mental health and substance use services.
Attendees explored the strategic context and ambitions for improving experiences and outcomes, reviewed evidence and enabling factors, whilst discussing the key considerations for local protocols and the support Healthcare Improvement Scotland can offer.
“By embracing the protocol, I hope that all staff and services will have better access to expertise, a clear pathway that saves time, and better working relationships across services”
